David Larsen selected as Advisory Board member for LDS Business College

David Larsen, Managing Partner at MainStreet, was selected to serve a two year term on the Advisory Board at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City.  On the Board, David will help the college identify the skills graduates need to be successful in the workplace, recommend work-preparation experiences for students/courses, serve as an advocate for graduates and serve as a guest lecturer in classes.

Tyler won 2nd place in the Doritos Crash the Super Bowl competition.  Tyler’s ad, entitled, “The Best Part” featured a young guy licking the cheese dust off the fingers of a co-worker who had just finished a bag of Doritos.  The ad ran during the first half of Super Bowl XLV!  Good work, Tyler! Enterprise Zone Credits: MainStreet is defending scores of Uintah County and other rural county business owners from the overly aggressive audits on the Enterprise Zone Credits.  Learn more about the credits/audits and MainStreet’s progress in defending business owners here.

Utah Entrepreneur Challenge: MainStreet is a proud sponsor of the UEC, a business plan competition hosted by the University of Utah for young entrepreneurs throughout the state of Utah.  MainStreet provides guidance, judging and consulting to participants and will teach a business entity workshop as part of the Fall Kickoff event in October 2011.

Small Business Development Center Workshop: David Larsen, Managing Partner for MainStreet, was selected as a guest lecturer to teach the SBDC’s “Choosing a Business Entity” course every three months at the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus in Sandy.  See schedule.

Free Seminar Series: MainStreet offers free seminars for our clients as well as the general public at no charge.  Topics cover a wide range of tax & accounting areas and occasionally cover other small business topics as marketing.  Dates and times vary based on location.  See seminar schedule.
